A Steinway & Sons Model D concert grand piano from the late 1880s in a black high gloss case
This piano was fully restored in the fairly recent past and remains in very good playing condition
As part of the restoration the soundboard was restored, wrestplank replaced, tuning pins replaced, all strings replaced, action rails replaced, repetition levers replaced, hammers shanks and rollers replaced, all felts replaced, casework refinished in black high gloss polyester
We have just replaced the hammers shanks and rollers for new Hamburg Steinway ones and done a thorough concert regulation and voicing to the instrument
Excellent tone and touch as one would expect from a vintage Steinway Model D
This piano is one of the first real Model Ds and shares broadly the same design and scale as the model Ds of today (not to be confused with the earlier Centennial model which was greatly inferior and is sometimes incorrectly marketed as a Model D)
88 keys, 3 pedals
2 year warranty
